The District DVD
The District drama series aired from October 2000 to May 2004 was based from real-life experiences of former New York Deputy Police Commissioner Jack Maple portrayed by Police District Chief Jack Mannion in the series as an outstanding man who cuts the Washing DC's high crime rate in half.
Washington have 30 law enforcement agencies but still has the highest crime rate in the US, a movie-quoting lounge-singing former NYPD Cop Jack Mannion takes over as DC Police Commissioner, a tenacious champion of the underdog and an avowed crime-fighter with his revolutionary tactics, he successfully dropped the crime rate to 50 percent with the help of his dedicated team and recruited young detective Temple Page who serve as Mannion's eyes and ears over crime-ridden and drug-infested streets of the city. They made the city safely livable and ideal place for all citizens.
